Due to the fact that I am an expert responsible for marketing in many of the world"s biggest companies I am very often asked to come somewhere in the world and present a lecture about a certain issue connected with marketing. It is part of my job and I like traveling so I am in different places all the time. I have to admit that this style of working is perfect for me. On the other hand I can understand that some people wouldn"t like to be doing what I am doing. I always repeat during lectures that we should sell emotions that will be created after selling the product rather then to describe the product itself. Some people don"t get it and have many problems with understanding this idea. On the other hand there are some companies using this method. For example, there is a company that is selling gold that I have worked with. They have used it and they state in their advertisement that if you sell gold, you will become a part of our company. That creates an impression in the reader that he will be a part of something bigger, greater. It is almost like a family. Due to this you immediately want to sell gold and join them, don"t you think? In my opinion that is a great example of how the knowledge from my lectures should be used.
