Undoubtedly one of the world's widest recognizable and present stereotypes is the one concerning the lack of driving capacity in case of women. Gentlemen often laugh at women doing their best to deal with a simple maneuvers in a car park. But let's come to the roots of it all - handing them the driving license. A typical driving test is split into two main parts. The Theory test and practical skills test. Statistics show, that the ratio of women failing the second part is almost twice as big as in case of men - 5 women out of 10 doesn't manage to pass, while the number is 3/10 in case of the so called sterner sex. Is it the gender only that is helpful in getting the document? It is inveterate to say that men are born with a natural ability to drive, whereas women don't. It makes sense as long as we focus on the practical part only, but if we took also the Theory test under the magnifying glass there is no sensible explanation of the ascendance of men over women. Statistically, every 8th female candidate fails the Theory test. The figure is 15 instead of 8 when it comes to male examinees. The interpretation is up to the reader.
